- 1 cup unsalted butter or margarine; softened
- ½ cup cheddar cheese; finely shredded
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- ½ cup Pecan Valley Pecan Halves
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and cheese.
- Combine flour, paprika and sea salt; add to creamed mixture. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on un-greased baking sheet. Top each with a pecan; press down to flatten.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove to a wire rack to cool.
Yield: about 2 dozen
