Pecan Cookies

¾ cups (1½ sticks) unsalted butter, softened
½ cup brown sugar; firmly packed
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
⅔ cups Pecan Valley Pecan Pieces

1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
2. Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl until well blended. Beat in egg and vanilla until mixed. Using a wooden spoon, stir in flour, baking powder and baking soda until mixed. Stir in pecans.
3. Drop by spoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.
4. Bake in a preheated oven for about 10 minutes until golden and firm on the top.
5. Cool on wire rack.
