Pecan Cheddar Crisps

  • 1 cup unsalted butter or margarine; softened
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese; finely shredded
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ cup Pecan Valley Pecan Halves
  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and cheese.
  3. Combine flour, paprika and sea salt; add to creamed mixture. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on un-greased baking sheet. Top each with a pecan; press down to flatten.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Remove to a wire rack to cool.

Yield: about 2 dozen
